Here is my DLO about using our 5 times tables. It tells you what I did to solve the equation. I did 2 strategy's and our learning Intention. Our Learning Intention is To answer our 6,7, and 8 times tables by using our 5 times tables.

This is a very useful strategy to know and use. 5 x 8 and 2 x 8 are much easier problems to solve, compared to 7 x 8. You have shown how splitting the number can make it much easier to solve.
