Here is a Collage of LS2 2016. The year has been fun as a year 8, and I will remember all the memories of Panmure Bridge School, and look back on everything I did. I achieved one of my goals this term, and it is to build my confidence. I think my confidence will grow more and more when I am at year 9. Throughout the year there has been some up's and down's, but most importantly we got threw it and changed our ways. The thing I liked most about this year was learning important things that most people don't know about, working collaboratively with people I usually don't work with and having fun. This year has been a great year for me and I can't wait to go to college and use the things that I learnt during the years I have been at Panmure Bridge School.
This blog is a record of my learning from Panmure Bridge Primary School through to Tamaki College.

Straw Rocket Fair Test - By Tiare & Mishaan
On Friday we went to Tamaki College for the hole day. First half we did our normal tech then we had morning tea. After we had morning tea we went into Mr Dunn classroom and he showed us video clips of rockets take off. After we watched the video clips we started by getting the equipment to make the straw rockets and clicked on the video of how to make it. After we made the straws we went outside and there was a measuring tape lied out on the ground so when we blow on the straw the rocket will release and the place it lands it will be marked and put in our results.

Tahuna Torea - By Juanita & Tiare
Here is a Film about the Tahuna Torea trip that Juanita and I created. For the past few weeks we have been learning about God-wits migrating to New Zealand. God-wits/Kuaka Bird come to New Zealand to have a rest and when the time comes they will migrate to another country. The Kuaka Bird migrates to places because of low food sources/refueling stops. Everyone had lots of fun and learnt interesting stuff about the Kuaka Bird/God-wit.

Multimodal Reading - By Tiare
Today we did Reciprocal Reading, about Kuaka Birds/God Wits. What we had to do was, go to the story "The Marathon Bird". After that we had to pick a leader for the my group, the first group leader was Sebastian. First we had to make a prediction of what's going to happen, next we had to clarify which means we had to ask if there was words we were unsure with, then we had to ask questions about the story. The last thing we had to do was summarize so we had to summarize the story of what happened. Then we would from there we would pick another leader but it would go anticlockwise.

Pigeons Follow Up - Group A - By Tiare
Here is a Reading Follow Up that Victoria, Mishaan, Manu, Fifita, Nesi and I created. In the last week we have been focusing on Pigeons as our Follow Up Challenge. We communicated in the activity by each one of us doing something different so we wouldn't be stuck doing the same one. We used teamwork and helped each other do things so it could be done properly. Sometimes we had to go over some sentences because they didn't make sense but in the end we got them done. After we had finished doing our opinions we went outside by the playground and with the help of Latham he filmed us saying our opinions.
Panmure Bridge Athletic Day - By Tiare
Here are some photo's of the Athletics Day at Panmure Bridge School. Before we started doing the activities we were first put into year groups. The first activity the year 8's went to was Rob The Nest, Next we went to Hurdles/Sponge relay, then we went to long jump, shot put or softball throw and the last thing we went to was try to get the hola hoop in either the bucket, the cricket fence or the stick. When we did our activities everyone was participating, using the team spirit/teamwork and encouragement. Although it was raining we still had lots of fun.

Hockey - By Tiare
Today we had Hockey lessons. The game we did for a warm up was octopus. After we played that we all gathered together and we got told to stand behind one stick facing the stage. The game we were doing with the hockey sticks was traffic light. Green stands for go, Orange means slow down and Red meant stop. After we trialed the traffic lights we added some more colors for example Purple, Silver and Blue. Purple standed for you to toss the ball side to side but at the same time your going backwards, Silver you have to hit the ball from side to side but your doing it fast and the last color blue you had to keep the ball by your stick and you have to go around in a circle until the color changed. The thing I liked about Hockey was that we could challenge ourselves to do different things and when we did we got better at the skill we were doing. The thing I didn't like about Hockey was they were talking to much and they were teaching us things that we already knew. At the end I enjoyed it and can't wait for the next Hockey lesson.

Attributing Images - By Tiare
Here is a DLO that I created about Attributing Images. It is very important to attribute images because if you don't then you are stealing something that doesn't belong to you. If you do attribute the images it won't be a problem because you are finding out whether or not you can use it.

Smart Footprint: Profile - By Tiare
Here is a google presentation about a learning blog profile. It will give your things like your first name etc. You either have to put a Y or a N for yes and no if you should put them on your blog profile. I think people shouldn't put there personal stuff on they blog profile because once people see it they can track where you live and do awful things.
Facebook, Snapchat And Twitter - By Tiare
Here is a DLO with the age restriction on these sites and resources of where I got the information. When I first searched up the ages for all of these it was quite shocking because I thought it would be older ages for these types of websites. I would make the ages older because if someone says nasty things to them they won't be able to handle it and they might do something that most people might do (commit suicide).
Cyber Smart Game - By Tiare

Think about the following questions…
- How could changing your appearance slightly be helpful in protecting your identity?
- What does using a tool like befunky.com make you think about the images of famous people you see online?
- When should you NOT use editing tools to change your appearance?
Talk with a partner and share your responses.
Here is another one of my cyber smart challenges. It was a challenge of taking a photo of yourself and changing the way you look. For me this challenge was quite easy to work with but sometimes I got things wrong and I had to restart it again 2 times because I did a mistake. In the end it turned out really good and I think this was a great challenge, people make mistakes.
Hyperbole - By Tiare
Here is a DLO that I created which is about Hyperbole. It shows you examples of a hyperbole or a literal. At first I didn't really get what a hyperbole is but it is exaggerating a sentence which is not meant to be taken seriously.

Carrying A Chromebook And Ipad - By Tiare
Here is a google drawing about "Carrying Chromebooks and Ipads". My opinion for carrying chrome books and iPad, is you should always have a case for both because if you drop them without a case it will most likely break if you drop it with a case on it could protect it and only have a crack which is better than having things that you need to work in a digital classroom.
Smart Relationships Commenting - By Tiare
Here is my presentation about "Smart Relationships Commenting". What we had to do was go on a website and at the bottom there would be 2 spaces you would fill them in with numbers for example 1 on the top and 10 on the bottom and it will give you number say 5 then you will click on the 5th app and it will take you to either a google presentation or google drawing. When you get one of those it will tell you what to do then all you do is fill it in and post it on your blog and keep on going on.

Here are screenshots of a maths game that I played with Javeylor. The times tables we were doing was the 7 times tables. I was hard trying to find the number so we just went random placing and I won the game. I was a hard game but luckily I won. It was my first trophy and it is now on the cabinet.

Reading Connections - By Tiare
Here are some screenshots of my reading connections. What we had to do in this game was we would click try it yourself and it will say learn a connection or choose connection. I click choose, after that we start it gives you different questions you pick the one that suits you and then you put it on the slingshot and you would have to right why you think that or make a connection with it. After you push submit it will strong connection or weak connection. Then you have to pick any house and you click it you jump there and that is how you get your points. Then you keep rotating it over until the game is finished.
Tech - By Tiare
For my tech group we do carving. What we had to start off was finishing our "Maori Dream Catcher." It was what we had planned on we had to search up different kind of patterns and designs that we wanted to make our carvings. For most people they were looking for half and half. Once we found what design we made we had to try and fit that into a circle. People were thinking one half they should put a Maori design and the other half they should put a tongan design. At first I was thinking that but I changed my mind and I put it as my family culture which was Cook Island, Maori. So the next time I want to do different art it will be of my families culture.
